CHEAP AND CHEERFUL CREME BRULE
For 6 people
5OO gram bag of dried fruit - Lidl’s fruit is best!
Egg cup of Brandy/Whisky
500 gram pot of Creme Freche
Brown sugar
Soak fruit for a couple of hours in water,just to cover - gently boil for 10 mins or so strain
off excess water and cool.
Add Brandy/Whisky to fruit.
Cover with Creme Freshe.
Top with a very generous sprinkle of brown sugar, brown under grill till the sugar caramelises.

N.B. I tried this under the grill and it did not
turn out very well, next time I will use my Chef's blow torch - I can't think
why I did not use it the first time around!!! I guess I will have to be
careful burning the alcohol off though!!Diane
